In Search of Adventure & having FUN
- 2 Rotating Teams
- 2 Busses
- 3 Destinations
- 2 Facilitators with the destination and activity information, only sharing it in riddles and pieces
The busses departed with the two teams, both unaware of where they are going and what they will be doing there. With a number of hints such as sms riddles, bus scrabble & limited information from the HPT facilitators the adventure started at 9:00 from their offices. As the day went by the destinations were revealed: Magalies Canopy Tours & Ox Wagon Trail. About an hour apart the teams arrived at the third destination: Lesedi Cultural Village. This was the final destination for the day and both the comfortables rooms & dinner were welcome. The team presentations of the day concluded the formal evening program, although it was definetely not the end of the social part. It was a GREAT day.
Day Two-Broker Function:
Three busses arrived at Kwalata Game Ranch from different departure points (Lesedi Cultural Village, Santam Pretoria & Johannesburg Offices). Brunch was served and then two groups departed on a cultural tour through Hammanskraal. Visiting a luxury venue, tin house, sangoma, tea garden (althoug they serve beer....) & a tavern, everyone got to see and experience a part of Gauteng not visited frequently. On arrival back at Kwalata an expert on whiskey gave a entertaining and very informative presentation on whiskey. Even if the presentation and tasting only confirmed why some of the guests does not drink whiskey, everyone at least learned a number of new facts. His insight of the history and production, as well as recitation of classic poems made this an hour well spend.
Feedback:
"Have gotten to know some members of the team better, made new / renewed friendships especially with those who are not working in the same office as I do"
"Brought us all closer and just a great team spirit that was built."
"That you can overcome various fears and actually enjoy the activity!"
We loved spending time with this stunning group of people and know they went back to the office with lots of new memories.
